Spa Guidelines
Cancellation Policy
We politely request that if you are unable to make an appointment that you inform the spa at the earliest opportunity. A full charge will be made for treatment appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, unless we are able to re-fill your treatment space. We require a notice period of 7 days to change or cancel either day spa or residential spa packages.
Children
We aim to create a tranquil retreat for you to relax and enjoy your treatments. The Therapy and relaxation retreat is an adult only area, unless bookings are made from the ‘teen’ section of our menu for children of 12 years or over.
Treatment Time
In order for us to provide you with the best possible care we request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment time. As a courtesy to other spa guests we endeavour to ensure that treatment times are adhered to and consequently may not be able to treat clients who arrive late. We regret that latecomers will incur the full fee for shortened treatment times.
Mobile Phones
We aim to provide a relaxing environment for all our guests and therefore request that mobile phones are turned off whilst you are in the spa or therapy area.
Your Health
To ensure that we provide you with the most appropriate treatment we will request that you inform us of any health concerns when booking your treatment. We will also ask you to fill in a consultation form prior to your first appointment (guests booking any of our Mama Mio ante natal therapies will be asked to fill in an additional consultation form). This will be up-dated on subsequent appointments. It is vitally important that you inform your therapist if you are or suspect that you may be pregnant. Please inform us of any medical conditions or changes to your medical status or if you are undergoing any medical treatment or taking prescribed medication. Some treatments may be contra-indicated by certain medical conditions, however we will endeavour to provide you with an alternative treatment.
Hydration - we would like you to feel the maximum benefit of your time at the spa and would therefore recommend that you guard against dehydration and drink plenty of water during and after your spa experience and treatments. Alcohol should not be consumed prior to using the spa area or having treatments.
Booking
To avoid disappointment we recommend that you pre-book your treatments or an allocation of time in advance of your stay at the hotel.
To avoid disappointment when booking an Aquae Sulis Spa Day we recommend that you contact us at the earliest opportunity. Aquae Sulis Spa Days are available Monday to Friday only (unless by prior arrangement with the Spa Manager).
A credit card number will be required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
Gift Vouchers
Beautifully presented vouchers are available for any treatment, package or monetary value and can be purchased at reception or by credit card over the phone or via the website: www.aquasulisspa.co.uk
Retail Therapy
All of our facials commence with an in-depth facial consultation and skin analysis and you will be presented with your skincare therapist’s recommendations for your skin type. We use professional products in all of our therapies which may not be widely available for purchase.
